Lots of things going on.. Well like I said about a week ago, I want to redo my website. That's the bottom on my list of things to do now. I've been working on the new CASA site for a while and now it's finished. Here>> This week I've got 2 midterms and a lab quiz all in the row. On top of that I've got two lap reports due on the same day along with homework. Everyone has been real busy this week as they feel the weight of procrastination crushing down. Very sad stuff Last week was a very sad week. 3 University students died from a house fire. The house was only a few blocks away from where I live. Then on Monday night there was a head-on collision on I94. A guy was driving down 94 in the wrong direction and collided with a van killing the two people inside. The driver driving in the wrong direction sustained minor injuries. The girl that was driving the van was one of Thuy's closest friends...Shella died in the hospital the next morning. When her family was notified it was already too late. The police suspect that the other guy was driving while drunk. Why is it that people who do reckless things end up and ruining the lives of others end up with only minor injuries? I hope our justice system makes him regret that he's still alive. Interview! Woohoo I got accepted for an interview! It's with a company called Nol-Tec Systems and the position is for Control Systems Engineer Intern. Man it's coming up on the 20th already, I better start preparing.

Good day, good day So I got up this morning at 7AM and and waited around so I could be the first person to sign up for an interview time slot with Nol-Tec. I wanted to get the very last slot so the interviewer won't forget me as easily as the guy who went first. Then I went to my morning class and took my computer science midterm, I feel pretty good about it, I think around a B. And now I just got home. And surprise! I got accepted for an interview with Cargill! That's awesome cuz I was turned down by WPS and I thought Nol-Tec was just a jinx. But maybe I have a chance this time to land myself and internship or co-op. I better go study for my other midterm tomorrow so I can get started on that interview book asap.

Can't decide Now I just can't decide on which one I want to get if my insurance company comes through for me.

Hell week over Ahhh...finally done with this week. 2 midterms, 2 lab reports and a lab quiz all taken care of this week. Now I need some sleep. Tomorrow, maybe I will be nice to myself and feed myself some sushi!

Walking to work On my way walking to work this morning I decided to stop by MickyD's to grab one of those 99 cent sausage mcmuffins that are damn good. So I walking towards the direction when I saw something fall from a tree branch. I just saw it in a flash I thought it was a squirrel that jumped from the tree or fell or maybe it was just a big sock. Then as I walked past the tree there was a squirrel lying on it's back looking at me. I'm like WTF??!!??!! It was scary man, I don't know what that squirrel is doing but I think it's dying. Man, having to see an animal die infront of you while you're walking to work just doesn't help your day. Night's events Thuy and I went to Koyi for sushi tonight. It was so good, I haven't had good sushi in a long time! Then we met up with Andrea and Joe and we saw "Kill Bill." I liked the movie a lot and I think it's quite different from your typical Hollywood films. However if you've ever seen Rurouni Kenshin you'll find that the style is very similar to that anime. Then tonight when we came back and were hanging out at my apartmetn and saw a car across the street that was on fire. The car was just blazing and there were some cop cars. Then right before the firefighters came, we heard a huge explosion. I hope no one got hurt.

Time Crunch I am feelin it...The pressure of landing myself an internship and school work is weighing down on my and I am feeling it in my lower back, damn it's sore. Things are ticking me off more easily and people seem to have gotten more annoying recently. But on the bright side, I just got accepted for another interview today by Emerson Process Management. I think I am really on a lucky streak now. Never have I had this many interview offers. But now I'm really stressed and that's all I think about, preparing myself for the interviews, making a good impression, getting my foot in the door. I hope I don't fail. Failing at this is 10x more depressing than failing a big exam to me.

School Sux! OMG I'm still working on my fricken computer science assignment! Levong and I had to leave the ITLabs because they close at 2AM. Good thing Walter Library has Unix and they're open 24 hours... I'd say we're 80% done, but it's got a lot of bugs in the program that we just can't seem to find.

Back to the apt Bloodshot eyes, fingers mistyping, hallucinating...and our program still doesn't work correctly! This sucks bad. It's because of nights like this that I absolutely refuse to let people copy my homework. If I work on my stuff from 7PM to 4AM, there is no chance in hell you will ever get a copy. Yeah, now I gotta get up in 4 hours to print off our nonworking code to submit to the TA. I HATE COMPUTER SCIENCE! But hey, I tried.

Feeling better Ahhhh....I finally got to shower this afternoon after my short nap. I felt so much better after a thorough shower. I went to Mystic Lake seafood buffet with my parents and my great uncle tonight. It was cool because it was the first time for me to go through the Platinum members only line. We didn't even have to wait an hour in the line, we just went in. I only ate like 4 plates though, it was pathetic and I didn't rob them with my eating. I am moving my website to a different host. There is going to be some instability for a couple of days. But it is all for the better.

I'm back Sorry about the site being down...I was switching hosts and I didn't tell many of you. It's not quite done yet, this is just temporary. Anyways.... Over the weekend I went to Purdue for a regional conference. The conference was for IAESTE, International Association of the Exchange for Students for Technical Experience. Our organization finds internships here locally for students in other countries. And when we find an internship, we get to swap with a student from another country. Cool huh? Yeah we also had a lot of fun meeting new people at Purdue and getting krunked at their bars. Unfortunately I gotta a little bit too drunk that night and ended up dancing a little bit too close with both of the national officers of IAESTE. Just Recently Yesterday I had my interviews with Emerson Process Management and Nol-Tec. Today I had my interview with Cargill. I think that they all went pretty well, overall I had a lot of fun and I learned a lot about their companies. I got good vibes from them but I don't know if they do that to all of their interviewees just to make them feel more comfortable. The internship and co-op openings are very competitive, I'd say I have about 9% chance of being recruited. Anyways I hope I get lucky, again.

Temporary Outage Okay guys, I'm gonna complete the rest of my web site transfer. My website won't be available for about 48 hours. Don't panic, they don't have me locked up or anything. It is all for the better so please bare with me.

Used Bike? I'm thinking about getting a used bike from a friend. I went to look at it tonight and I absolutely love it! But then again I love bikes. He wants about 5k for it which I don't have right now...so I think I'm gonna be calling some banks and credit unions to see what I can do.

Wow busy day at work The University has been having network and server problems. People are calling in like crazy with the same problems. Man all I want to do is work on my web sites but these people keep calling...Oh here's another.

So far so smooth.. So this week is starting out very well... I'm not stressed and I don't have very much homework. On top of that, my fantasy football team won by 5 points and now my record is 3-5. Okay that's not that great but my players are just starting to shine now that they're no longer injured. I'm excited, I get to meet my mentor tonight! He sounds like a cool guy when I talked with him over the phone. I hope I get to visit his office sometime in the IDS tower.

Why people fear us Wow...another hollywood film coming out that portrays bikers in a way that scares people. As if Biker Boyz wasn't bad enough...here's a trailer for Torque. It's movies like these that make people think sportbikers are the most unsafe bikers around...I suggest those people do some research on sportbike design and the protective gear compared to that of the Harley guys.

BIG YEAH!!! Before I left my apartment tonight to go slave away at the computer lab I checked my email once more... I got a reply from Terra the recruiter for Emerson Process Management telling me that I have been selected to go for the onsite interview. And I remember during the interview she told me that if they select you, you would go onsite and meet with them and by the end of the day they would make you an offer. So YEAH! I got accepted for the co-op position! I am so excited because this was the company that I was interested in the most. I'm in, unless if I screw up. I think it'll be harder to screw this one up than the interview.

Results with Nol-Tec Wow I just an email from Nol-Tec requesting to visit their offices to have a second interview. This is the company that I didn't get the outgoing vibes from, instead I got the cubicle vibes. Can't blame them though, the two guys that interviewed me were both engineers and just didn't sound like they have a lot of fun at their jobs.

Oh yeah baby! Check out this trailer for FASTER, I am still drooling... This is the type of movie people should be watching to get a better idea about sportbikes, not Torque.

The Wheel of Luck is turning Remember over the summer when I had all that bad luck? Speeding tickets, dropping my motorcycle, losing the counter-strike tournament, getting arrested for giving the cops the finger by accident, and finally getting my motorcycle stolen? Well I think my luck has finally started to change! My interviews went well and I've been invited for second interviews with those companies, I got insurance money for my motorcycle, my current living conditions are great, I finally learned how to drive a stick and brought my 89 Audi to campus. Also tonight I was surprised by a bunch of my friends who knew it was my birthday tomorrow! I came home with Thuy after shopping at Target and when I went to my room it was just packed with people, and they scared me. lol It is nice to know that I am surrounded by such caring friends. ^_^ I think that's the greatest gift one can receive, it means a lot to me.
