Painting

We did some charity work United Way on Wednesday. The interns at Rosemount helped paint a house that helps teenagers cope with the difficulties of life. We mostly got to help with just the primer. I wish we had time to do more painting because organizations like this really need help from volunteers.

Cool Awesome Adventure Dream

I had this really cool awesome adventure dream last night. Its one of those dreams where you're excited and scared at the same time. I dreampt that I was shopping at a mall with a friend when we wandered into an unmarked door. It turns out that this door leads to a pathway that will get you to the back of the mall where shops have their backdoors. When we were at the back of the mall some security personel came after us. In a panic, we ran towards the closest door. Next thing we know, we're somewhere in Korea or China and we traveled back in time to when they had emperors. We were admiring the beauty of the land and the clothes that people wore until we quickly realized that our lives were in danger because we were in their palace. Then the dream turned into running away and hiding from palace guards. We climbed ladders, swung from lookout towars, ran in crowded streets and even swam in the ocean. Each time we ran away from the palace guards and beat them up, we'd find ourselves in another mess. Finally in the end of the dream, we were in a situation where there was going to be a war between the two kingdoms. There were 5 masters from each kingdom who resembled guys from the game Dynasty Warriors except they were much more powerful and skilled. The earth was shaking and everyone was watching when they were about to face off. I was dressed in the palace guard clothing so they didn't recognize me, I even strutted around the palace pretending to be high ranking. Anyways, these fighters were about the start and I thought to myself "What a sweet dream, I want to do it over again except explore different areas." As soon as I had that thought in my head, I woke up. So basically the dream was about being chased in a huge palace, fighting off people, and being sneaky in a world that is similar to Dynasty Warriors. I tried to go back to sleep but I couldn't dream of it again so I just got up.

Where oh where has my club head gone?

Yesterday was a big day for Kyongdo, he was getting a set of clubs. I met up with him along with Josh and his friend Ester at Golf Galaxy to help pick out some clubs. Initially K wanted to get just a used driver but I convinced him to get a set of used irons. We looked for a while and tested quite a few clubs and finally decided on a pre-owned set of Titleist DCIs. These babies are NICE irons which I've played with before. Intially K wasn't very enthusiastic about it, until I found out that there was 20% which made me want to get that set as well. After a some bitching, I decided to just let him have it because he needs it more than I do. Besides, my Sam's Club brand golf clubs from middle school are still kickin' ass. So we were excited to try out these "new" irons and went to the nearest driving range to do so. First ball I hit was with his 7, solid, straight and very nice angle. I did it with the 5 without any problems either. Finally it came to testing the 3. The 3 iron is the hardest iron for me to hit, if I can hit well with this club, that means it's truly a nice set of clubs. The 3 quickly proved itself and the entire set that they are worth the money. Towards the end of the day, I decided to hit that 3 some more just because I can never get the same kind of results with my clubs. Each shot was going at least 200 yards and pretty much straight. However, nn my last swing, I felt the solid contact but all of sudden I felt that the club became incredibly light. I looked at the 3 iron and there was no 3 iron, the head completely flew off the shaft. No one really noticed what happened except Josh. Josh, who was talking on the phone at the time said he heard a "helicopter" like sound and when he looked up, he saw a club head spinning through the air. That was K's club head. Kyongdo couldn't believe his eyes. We burst into tears laughing. Never have I ever knocked the club head off a club, especially with a Titleist. The people at the range are supposed to find the head for us eventhough we couldn't find it ourselves. I think Kyongdo is going to go back to Golf Galaxy and get a refund or exchange.

Best $3 I have ever spent at a theatre

Matt came over tonight to watch Public Enemy, a Korean flick that Kyongdo recommended. Due to the regional lock on my DVD player we couldn't get this movie to work and had to improvise. We checked what was playing in the theatres.. 40 Year Old Virgin, Wedding Crashers, The Dukes of Hazzard, there was nothing that we wanted to see. Then we saw that the movie Crash was playing at a more distant location in a small theatre that we've never been to. Matt heard it was good so we decided to go. The movie was only $3, I would've been willing to pay $15 for it. This is one of those films that you can not afford to miss. I will stop here because I am still blown away by how well this film was written.
