School has started

Ewww... I can't believe I'm back in school, sort of. Well with only 2 classes left, I can't really complain. My schedule for this last and final semester will be going to my class in the morning everyday and going to work in Chanhassen right afterwards. I'm a little afraid of my classes this semester; Semiconductor Devices and Programmable Logic. Both of these classes are non-BS and require you to actually know and apply the useless crap they teach. On the side note, I didn't sleep well at all last night. It was one of those nights where you fall asleep at 7 then wake up 10 and then can't fall back asleep till 4. This semester will also be more stressful than the last as I will be seriously searching for jobs now. Last semester and the one before was just job searching for fun, or practice. I've already applied for positions in 12 companies. It's not that much, over 80% of them won't even get back to me because my application along with my resume will just get lost in their massive database of applicants. Oh yeah, I also applied to Google for an associate product manager position lol. I think I might have a better chance winning a small lottery considering how many thousands of perfect applicants they come across everyday. Anyways, I should have a better outook on things, I think I'm pretty much negative today because it has been cloudy and raining since I've gotten up. No more of that, I will continue to work and job search with a smile for the rest of the day. Ok maybe just a smile inside.

18 holes

Josh and I played 18 holes at Como today. Kyongdo and Albert didn't come because they're weak sauce. Josh shot a 142 and I shot a 107, but it was still the best proformance I have seen from him the whole summer. Josh mostly sucked it up at the green where he would average 4.8 putts every hole. I think this will be the last 18 holes I will play this summer, but I will continue to go to the range and make my shots as smooth as soy sauce. This is not golf related, but I just wanted to say that Chinese-Americans love their sauces. They just love the sauce over white rice combination with some chicken and maybe some vegetables. Mainland Chinese just eat the dishes that come out and they eat it with minimal rice whereas a Chinese-American scoops from the dish along with sauce and drops it all over his rice to make a "rice plate". In China we think that eating so much white rice is just taking up valuable stomach real estate that coule be better served for a fancy steamed fish dish.

I love these

My parents used to do these types of performances. A skit by some Kodak execs in for the Chinese New Year.

The people in IT that make me wanna go

OMG I wish I wasn't here! Why?! Why me?! What is up with super obnoxious IT girls who think they can make up for their lack of social skills and relationships by babbling their mouth continuously about "funny" stories of how their calculator malfunctioned and displayed some weird number or how their professors used a swear word in class. "It was SOOO funny" and "She's like... I was like... omg then he was like, like it was sooo funny!" Blood is spilling out of my right ear and it ain't no ear infection. Someone make this thing leave, this is a study area, not a place for you to tell your amazingly interesting stories about school and try to impress your fellow geek who sits with you in IEEE. Yesterday when I was walking to class in the morning, I saw two IT guys perform a manuever that is so incredibly disturbing that made me ashamed to be in the same college as them. As I was walking towards the Csci building, a lanky IT guy attempts to run towards the bus with his backpack open and barely hanging on to his shoulder. He also thought he could run faster if he tucked his arms towards his chest like the mighty T-Rex. I don't think I need to go further and describe the greesy hair and the big round glasses. As I walk inside the building, ANOTHER guy comes running past me with the same mighty T-Rex stride. I don't get why it is so popular to run like a gimp around here. Does the excessive exposure to your computer screen and just being by the Csci building cause a boy to run like that? I saw two people run that day, and both ran the same gimpy way. Imagine what would happen in IT if every nerd was late for class and had to run.

Sunday slump

Why?? Why is it that every Sunday is the default unproductive day of the week? What is it about Sundays that just takes the zest for life out of everyone? Sunday coupled with the fall overcast weather makes everyone's eyes half-shut, even my dogs. I woke up today and ate leftovers, then tried to open my textbook but the cover was too heavy so I lied down on my bed to help digest the food. I felt like the bed was draining my energy every second so I got up and lifted some weights instead. Lifting always helps to wake me up. After that I was hypnotized by the TV and the two very close NFL games this afternoon, both were great. After wasting time on the TV I decided to get out of the house and drive around. To my surprise, the Southdale library is open on Sundays, but only till 5. The only thing I got there was a new library card, I promised them I would come and study there on the weekends. Now I'm home trying to write my blog... this sucks, I almost fell asleep writing this entry. I wonder if there is a way to make your Sundays as productive and exciting as Thursdays. If every day was equally productive and eventful, life would be quite exciting.
